During this week, Google officially announced the arrival of the brand new Googlebook platform, and now the first longer practical display of the system has appeared on the Internet, revealing what the new Android computer actually looks like in operation.
The well-known leaker Mystic Leaks published as much as 16 minutes of the new system called Aluminum OS, which is the basis of future Googlebook laptops.
According to the available footage, Googlebook practically functions as an extended desktop version of the Android system, very similar to Samsung DeX mode, but far more seriously adapted to work on laptops. The interface uses a taskbar very similar to the Windows 11 system, while the main tools are focused around Google services such as Gemini, Google Chrome and Gmail applications.

The desktop supports classic icons, folders and widgets, including the Google Search panel directly on the desktop.
On the right side is the Android Quick Settings menu, through which you can quickly control the screen brightness, volume, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options, while notifications appear in an almost identical style as on Android phones.
However, the currently displayed version of the system seems very early and unfinished. For now, many applications only open web versions of services instead of real desktop applications, while a large number of features announced by Google are still not active.
Google has already hinted that Googlebooks will represent a new AI-oriented generation of laptops that could replace the ChromeOS platform in the long run.
It is expected that the first Googlebook models will officially arrive during the fall of 2026, reports LTN.
