The action RPG Crimson Desert sold well, so Pearl Abyss is currently considering additional content and possible expansion to other platforms.
Crimson Desert was sold in more than five million copies and earned the South Korean company Pearl Abyss 179.1 million US dollars. The game sold the most in the PC version (about 50% of the revenue), while the other half of the sales were made by the PS5 and XS versions.
Given the game’s commercial success, it’s no surprise to confirm that Pearl Abyss is currently looking into exploring additional content in the future paid DLC add-on or expansion. Not only that, but they mentioned in the financial report that they will explore opportunities to expand to other platforms.
As things currently stand, the only likely platform that Crimson Desert could eventually come to is the Nintendo Switch 2. However, nothing has been determined about those future plans yet. For now, the only sure thing is that Crimson Desert will continue to receive improvements through regular updates.
