Coven of the Chicken Foot is the debut game of the team founded by the former director of the Uncharted games, and puts us in the role of an atypical protagonist – the old witch Gertie.
Wildflower Interactive, an indie team founded by former Naughty Dog boss Bruce Straley, has unveiled its first game. The thing is called Coven of the Chicken Foot and the genre is identified as a puzzle platformer adventure.
The game takes us to a fantasy world full of dungeons and secrets, but one where the heroes have already defeated the monsters and collected the treasure. He comes behind them old witch Gertie who tries to prove herself to her witch society by exploring dangerous locations. Since Gertie is too old to handle weapons, she helps her in the adventure an unusual being she summoned and which helps her with physical challenges.
Coven of the Chicken Foot bit će single-player avantura and said being will not be able to be controlled. The developers state that the assistant will learn and develop new behaviors through contextual situations, and that it will have its own motivations and interests as a character.
The developers describe this game as an old school adventure that has the simplicity and fun of older games and the interactivity and narration of modern titles. The game will have a semi-open world and will reward players who show curiosity in exploring.
Coven of the Chicken Foot has been announced for PC, but there is no word yet on when the game might launch.
