One of the premieres at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China is the electric Genesis GV70. The car kept the original platform, but the SUS drive was replaced by electric generators and a battery.
The model has kept the look of its sister car with a traditional drive, and the only difference on the outside is the closed front grille and the diamond pattern of the hidden battery charging port. The rear bumper looks cleaner because there are no exhaust pipes.
2023 Genesis GV70 EV specs
The new 2023 Genesis GV70 EV has all-wheel drive as standard, but automatically switches to rear-wheel drive when efficiency needs to be boosted. There is a Boost mode when the power is temporarily raised to 490HP and 700Nm from the 370HP standard.
When this boost is activated in combination with Sport mode, the GV70 accelerates to 100km / h in just 4.5 seconds. An e-Terrain mode for driving on difficult terrain has also been installed. The battery capacity supplement has not been published, but it is known that fast charging with power up to 350kW is supported which charges the battery from 10% to 80% in less than 20 minutes. GV70 delivers approximately 249 miles of range.

Hyundai’s premium division has confirmed that a new Genesis GV70 SUV model is arriving in North America at the end of 2022, and that these specifications will be published later, and for now there is no information about the European market.
