Luxury brand Hyundai Motor Group, Genesis announced that it will soon begin pre-orders for its first fully electric GV60 car in Europe. The GV60 is based on the E-GMP platform, which is the basis for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, so we know roughly what to expect.
2023 Genesis GV60 crossover specs
However, unlike its siblings, the Genesis GV60 offers only one battery option – 77.4 kWh. There will be three levels available – Premium, Sport and Sport Plus. The premium option uses a 168 kW motor and rear-wheel drive. The WLPT rating is 516 km (321 miles) for this particular option.
The Sport comes with all-wheel drive with a 160 kW engine and a secondary with 74 kV. The Sport Plus is the most powerful with two 160kW motors that provide some unique features such as Drift Mode and Boost Mode. The latter adds a gain of 10 seconds, 20 kW per motor. Unfortunately, Genesis has not revealed the ranges for the two.
However, they stated the torque numbers. The RWD version with one engine reaches 350 Nm, the Sport package with two engines (160 kW rear + 74 kW front) gives you 605 Nm, and the option of 160 kW + 160 kW gives you 700 Nm.
Charging with alternating current supports up to 11 kV, while fast charging with direct current allows you to recharge from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes. Just to drink coffee in peace.
The Hyundai did not provide much detail about the equipment, except that it will have dual 12.3-inch infotainment screens, Bang & Olufsen audio system and digital side mirrors. But given the premium status of Genesis, it would be assumed that the car will offer all the Hyundai and Kia premium features, and a little more,

Expected starting prices around 50,000 Euros. The exact release date of the 2023 Genesis GV60 EV should be known in the coming weeks, but most likely early in 2023.
