Nicolas Cage is doing his most challenging role to date – playing a fictionalized version of himself in this new meta-comedy for which the first official teaser trailer for “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” has been released.
Also starring Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz with Neil Patrick Harris and Tiffany Haddish, and Nicolas Cage returns to the comedy genre, playing an enhanced version of himself as an eccentric, egocentric movie star. As he struggles with growing financial problems, Cage is forced to accept a million-dollar offer to attend the birthday of his biggest superfan who turns out to be a dangerous criminal billionaire, played here by Pascal.
The upcoming comedy is directed and co-written by director Tom Gormican, who previously shot the 2014 comedy about dates “That Awkward Moment” with Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan.
