Google Little Magic - a new concept for notifications

Google Little Signals, a new concept for notifications

Well, there are really a lot more unpleasant alarms, loud bells, and constant tweets of received text messages. Google seems to be thinking the same way, as evidenced by the new technology it is working on. It’s Google Little Magic, which is a line of interesting concepts with which this giant is trying to redefine the way our devices inform us about the latest activities on our devices.

Let us now compare the two situations. In both scenarios, we need to wake up at 6 am and go on a business trip. On the one hand, we have a classic alarm that uses a progressively louder sound to indicate that it is time to get up. But who else loves alarms that wake us up and make us get up and get nervous on already stressful days.

He is on the other side Little Signals, a concept developed by Google that seeks to completely change notifications. So, waking up is also at 6 o’clock in the morning, but now there are no more alarms, no loud sounds, melodies, and songs that we all hate the longer they are repeated. All those who put their favorite songs as their alarms probably know what we are talking about.

Little Signals changes this by trying to wake users up, in this case by using mild air currents, quiet natural sounds like wind, light tapping (yes, tapping) on the shoulder, and shadows that would spread through the user’s room.

Officially, the six devices within the Little Signals series rely on the use of air, buttons, movement, rhythm, shadows, and tapping to inform the user of incoming notifications or, in our case, time to get up. So who could be nervous before a business trip if he was awakened by a gentle touch of fresh air on his face? Okay, maybe touching during sleep would be really uncomfortable, but other concepts seem more than interesting, reports Hot Hardware.

All of this is currently happening within the Google Experiments project, which has spawned many products currently used around the world, such as Google Chrome, Android, and many others. Whether Little Magic will bear fruit remains to be seen, but we hope it will, because this is certainly an interesting innovation that would serve, if nothing else, then at least a more peaceful awakening.
