Volkswagen introduced the ID. Polo GTI with almost 230 hp

ID. The Polo GTI is powered by an APP290 electric system with 226 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque sent to the front wheels via an electronically controlled differential. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 175 km/h.

The car uses an NMC battery with a capacity of 52 kWh, which, according to the WLTP standard, enables a range of up to 424 kilometers. Fast DC charging with a power of up to 105 kW is supported, whereby the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes.

As for the design, the GTI version brings more aggressive bumpers, a split rear spoiler, red details and standard 19-inch rims. The illuminated front fascia with red GTI line and matrix LED lights is particularly noteworthy.

The sporty character continues in the interior, where black and red details dominate, GTI sports seats and details inspired by classic GTI models. As with the regular model, Volkswagen emphasizes the return of physical buttons and separate air conditioning controls for the GTI, which is a response to user criticism related to the completely digital controls in the earlier ID. models.
