After claims that MindsEye started selling well, the developer laid off around 170 workers

Development studio Build a Rocket Boy has reportedly laid off most of its workforce following the completion of additional content for its MindsEye game.

One of the worst games of 2025 recently got its first DLC. After a mission that was supposed to bring a crossover with the Hitman series was canceled, MindsEye was instead given a Blacklisted mission, based on an alleged sabotage and smear campaign against the game.

Now that that mission is complete, the Build a Rocket Boy studio is fired 170 of its employeesthat is, the majority of its workforce.

Build a Rocket Boy has not publicly confirmed these layoffs, but former employees have gone public about it. This is the second round of layoffs for the studio that once had more than 500 employees. Now there are less than a hundred of them left.

This is also a confirmation of the delusions in which the management of this studio wanted to convince the general public. First they claimed that some gangsters paid for MindsEye to be mocked on the Internet, and recently they even tried to push the story that the game started selling well and that user reviews were positive.

Just a few weeks after that, the price for MindsEye is permanently cut from 60 euros to 35.5 euros.
