Devil May Cry 5 is now selling better than ever before

Capcom boasted that Devil May Cry achieved record sales seven years after its release, primarily on the wings of the animated series on Netflix.

Capcom isn’t only having success with Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. Devil May Cry was also successful for them.

And the case of the last game of that series is quite intriguing. A year ago, Devil May Cry 5 sold 2.7 million copies. In comparison, DMC 5’s first year sales were weaker at 2.1 million units.

In other words, DMC 5 is seven years later selling better than ever before!

The increase in sales overlaps with the fact that Devil May Cry got an animated series on Netflix which currently has two seasons, and will end with the third season. Of course, it also helps that Devil May Cry 5 can regularly be found at a pretty steep discount. Just last month, the game was available for less than five euros.

The Hunter Edition version of the game for the Nintendo Switch 2 console, which will arrive in a week – on June 23, at a price of 40 euros, will give additional momentum to sales.
