Check out the new official trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s new animated action comedy “The Bad Guys” starring Sam Rockwell, Craig Robinson, Marc Maron, Anthony Ramos and Awkwafina.
Based on Aaron Blabey’s best-selling New York Times bestseller series, the film stars Rockwell as the voice of Mr. Wolf, a dashing pickpocket who leads a criminal team of animal fugitives, including safe maker Mr. Snake (Maron), master of disguise Mr. Shark (Robinson), conductor Mr. Piranha (Ramos) and the sharp-tongued hacker Mrs. Tarantula called “Webs” (Awkwafina). After reaching an agreement for their freedom, Mr. Wolf and his “Bad Guys” team must learn to break the good and become law-abiding citizens – or face a long prison sentence.
Richard Ayoade, Zazie Beetz, Lilly Singh and Alex Borstein are also part of the voice team.
The upcoming film is directed by acclaimed French animator Pierre Perifel (from the films “Kung Fu Panda” and The Illusionist), who has made his directorial debut.

In a new action comedy from DreamWorks Animation, based on the New York Times best-selling book series, a criminal team of animal outlaws will just try their most challenging scam to date – becoming exemplary citizens.
There have never been five friends as infamous as The Bad Guys – the picky pickpocket Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), the seen safe robber, Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), the relaxed master of disguise Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson), the short-circuited “muscles” of Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos) and Ms. Tarantula’s sharp-tongued hacker expert (Awkwafina, aka “Webs”).
But when, after years of countless robberies and the world’s most wanted villains, the gang is finally caught, Mr. Wolf makes a deal (which he has no intention of keeping) to save them all from prison: The bad guys will go well.
Under the tutelage of their mentor Professor Marmelade (Richard Ayoade), an arrogant (but adorable!) Guinea pig, The Bad Guys set out to fool the world that they had transformed. Along the way, however, Mr. Wolf begins to doubt that actually doing good could give him what he has always secretly longed for: acceptance. So when a new villain threatens the city, can Mr. Wolf convince the rest of the gang to become… Good guys?
