This year, Xbox will not display gameplay statistics to its users

Microsoft has learned that they will save money on Xbox this year, so they will not offer players on that platform an overview of annual statistics.

This has been a turbulent year for Xbox, in which it can be said that Microsoft has let down some fans of its gaming brand. And for the very end of the year, they left another disappointment.

While PlayStation and Steam users can get an overview of their gaming year with statistics on what they played and how much, Xbox players will not get this optiont. The reason is that Microsoft has decided to tighten the belt as far as Xbox is concerned, that is, to redirect the budget to some other things.

As reported by Windows Central, Xbox will celebrate several different anniversaries in 2026, so they decided to deny players a view of the statistics in order to have a bigger budget for those celebrations in 2026. Xbox itself celebrates its 25th anniversary next year, Blizzard celebrates its 35th anniversary, and Bethesda its 40th.

Maybe this isn’t even a bad idea from a business perspective, but in a year when Xbox fans are already feeling betrayed, this feels like yet another disregard for gamers themselves.
